HDB Laminate Doors for Bedroom

Laminate Doors are gaining its popularity in Singapore for used as bedroom or main door. Laminate Door faced with layer of 1mm high pressure laminate glued and pressed with a 3mm plywood. Internal solid core will either be masonite, finger-joint timber block or composite wood core, while semi solid core will be 2 pieces of plywood (both sides) with laminate pressed and glued on our door structure. The side of the door will be process with matching ABS trim.

Types of Wooden Doors Core

1. Hollow core: These doors are usually made of plywood. They tend to be less expensive because the inside of the door panel is hollow. Classic Doors are mostly hollow core. Renovaid Team do not supply hollow core veneer plywood door.

2. Semi Solid core: A lot better than a hollow-core door, a semi solid-core door has an exterior skin (nyatoh, veneer or laminate) pressed on plywood, with additional layer of plywood at back of both exterior side. At least 65% to 70% of the door is filled. These doors have much better sound deadening and temperature control qualities than a hollow core door, but less expensive than solid core door.

3. Solid core: Like a hollow-core door, a solid-core door has an exterior skin made of plywood (nyatoh, veneer or laminate) or a molded composite. But a solid core door is filled with plywood. These doors have much better sound deadening and temperature control qualities than a hollow core door, but are still not as expensive as a completely solid wood door.
