​When choosing a toilet door in Singapore, it’s important to understand that door measurements can vary significantly across HDB flats, condominiums, apartments, and landed properties. Even within a home, door frames may differ from one bathroom to another.

🚪 Common Toilet Door Types in Singapore

Homeowners typically install one of the following toilet door types:

• Aluminium Bi-Fold Doors (most popular)
• Wooden Swing Doors
• PVC Bi-Fold Doors

📏 Standard Toilet Door Measurements

🔹 HDB Flats (Built ~Mid-1980s to Before 2013)Most HDB flats built before 2013 (excluding BTOs) have toilets with existing door frames. The standard toilet door size is usually:

• Width: 2.75ft / 33 inches / 838mm / 83.8cm
• Height: 7ft / 84 inches / 2130mm / 2.13m
• Frame Thickness: ~35mm (+/- 1mm) or 1 3/8"​

👉 Note: While these dimensions are common, there may be exceptions. If your toilet does not have an existing frame or has been heavily renovated, the measurements may differ. Always send us photos or measurements for an accurate quote.

🔹 BTO Flats (Built 2013 Onwards)
Newer HDB BTO flats typically come with slightly wider door frames.

The standard dimensions are:

• Width: 3ft / 36 inches / 915mm / 91.5cm
• Height: 7ft / 84 inches / 2130mm / 2.13m
• Frame Thickness: ~35mm (+/- 1mm) or 1 3/8"

In some BTO estates built after 2019, we have noticed toilet door widths increasing to 38 inches, which affects pricing due to the extra material required.

Our Aluminum Bi-Fold Doors are bolted into the existing frame and fit perfectly within these standard BTO dimensions.

🔹 Condominiums, Apartments & Landed Homes
Toilet door measurements in private properties vary more widely:

• Width: 33" to 38" inches (838mm – 965mm)
• Height: Typically around 89" inches (2260mm)
• Frame Thickness: Between 38mm (1 4/8") and 44mm (1 6/8")

👉 Tip: If your toilet door size falls within the HDB standard measurement (up to 3ft x 7ft), you may qualify for our promotional pricing.

⚠️ Frame Removal Policy
We do not remove or hack existing door frames (wood, metal, or PVC). If removal is necessary, it must be done by a renovation contractor. Frame removal involves extensive labor and additional cost, which we do not cover in our standard installation service.

  • Repair work for old or damaged frames
  • Painting or refinishing of any kind

If your existing frame is damaged, rusted, or rotting, we recommend that you engage a renovation contractor to remove or repair it before installation of the new door.
